Day Three

I will admit that last night was pretty bad. I took half of a heavy pain killer to reduce the pain and swelling in and on the outside of my jaw and it worked almost instantly. The after effects were pretty frightening, though; I felt sick to my stomach and was scared that if I got sick, I'd ruin everything in my mouth. The shaking was pretty bad and I just remember crying out to God to help me. I had never been more scared in all my life. And when I called on His Name, the shaking and nausea stopped and I was able to get the best night's sleep since the surgery.

I'm feeling SO much better this morning. I'm able to open my mouth wider to eat (I'm dying for solid food!). I've been eating organic jello, yogurt, drinking lots of water and juiced melons/fruit... I've been livin' the life! haha
And my sister (who easily gets grossed out) even took a flash light to see what the inside of my mouth looked like! I'm like, "What? Are you SERIOUS?" haha. She didn't even cringe... It's a miracle...

So anyways, I'm taking it easy and feel so relieved that I'm beginning to feel more strength when I walk and eat and even when I sip water. Thanks be to the Lord for answering our prayers, amen?

As I looked in the mirror today, I wondered if I'll ever look normal again... And, gosh, my hair is greasy enough to pop popcorn! hahaha!

Take care, friends, and I can't thank you enough for praying and thinking of me!
