A small stroll

My little sister came in the house as I was sitting here at the computer and she was holding an apple blossom that had bloomed. I'm like, "I need to get some pictures because those don't last long!" So my mom allowed me to go "take a stroll" and take some pictures.
I shoved my feet into my old rainboots and began the "old person walk" to the backyard. Yes, I felt like I was walking like an old person, but hey, that's about all I could get myself to do.

And look who came to greet me . . . This put such a smile on my face!!

Just look at all that GREEN GRASS! I remember lying in the snow in the dead of winter, wondering if spring would ever get here. And now that it is . . . Wow, it's more beautiful than ever.

Can't you just smell it? haha

It's hard to believe that June is almost here. I mean, seriously! Just May 3rd I was six months away from my 18th birthday . . . And then June 3rd will only be 5 months . . . I've heard people say that when you're a kid, the years take forever to pass, but not for me. And I've also heard that time flies by when you're having fun . . . So I guess my childhood was a lot of fun, because the years really did fly right on by. I'm a little scared to be "considered an adult", but knowing Christ is never gonna leave me, that alone makes me so much braver.
So, I take each day now and tell myself, "This is the last summer to be a kid . . . It's okay to be crazy." (I must say my siblings are liking the idea of me spending more time with them outside and participating in some of their "crazy" games. Ya know, I like the idea myself . . .)

Have a wonderful day!
