Anyways, my dad made us take a hike. Yep, made us. I used to love hiking until I watched this one documentary called "Night of the Grizzlies." It was about two bear attacks in Glacier National Park. So, let's just say I was a little hesitant to take this hike.
But boy, am I glad I went!
I had to take off my sneakers and socks to get this shot (above). Wow-- the water was so cold I could feel it straight to my bones! But it was worth capturing this for sure.
We made our way to West Glacier and found a trail we hadn't been on. The one we took was 5.3 miles but we went about halfway. It was getting later in the day and we were all pretty exhausted. C'mon, it was our first hike of the season! haha
Wild strawberries?! Can we go back when they've grown? haha
Snow-topped mountains . . . One of the most beautiful and refreshing sights when you're trudging up a rocky hill as the sun beats down on your head, back, and arms.
As beautiful as these tree blossoms are, they smell awful! My dad picked off one and told me to smell it and we both agreed they smelled like fish, haha.
This was on our way coming back over the old bridge. I guess I was too caught up in the river's beauty to take pictures of it-- sorry!
Although it was quite tiring, I enjoyed myself a lot and look forward to more hiking . . . Just make sure we're loaded down with bear spray!
So, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOMS! My younger sisters and I are making our mom a brownie cake with homemade icing-- but, shhhh! haha It's a secret.
