I went to Alaska! (part 1)

Wow! SOOO much has been happening since my last post! From my promotion at work, to graduating high school (YA-HOO!) to a cruise to Alaska, and all the bits and pieces in-between! Life has been crazy busy, but so many new and wonderful memories have been made.

Yes, I know I said in an earlier entry that I was taking a drive with a friend to Vancouver Island, Canada. Well, I made it to Victoria, BC, Canada, but I took a big ole cruise ship instead of a rental car! haha. I still can't get over it all!

This was one amazing trip that I will never forget. To be completely honest, I miss Alaska so much I can't stand it. So.... Dad, if you're thinking about moving to Skagway or Ketchikan Alaska, I'M GAME!!! haha

So without further ado....

Saying goodbye to my family was one tough pill to swallow. I missed them the entire trip and kept wishing they were right there with me experiencing Alaska's beauty!

Having my grandma with us celebrating my graduation was great! Ahhhh, this freedom is AWESOME! haha
We took the train from Whitefish, Montana to Seattle, Washington. Fourteen hours on a train is not the best thing in the world, but gosh, the sights were incredible! The moment I opened my eyes, and caught a glimpse of the ocean, I knew the long night on the train was definitely worth it.

The Seattle train station made my jaw drop. Honestly, I looked more "awed" than the traveling Amish folks there... haha

This was my first Ferris wheel ride... Okay, maybe it was a bit bigger than your regular Ferris wheel and it may have had enclosed seating compartments, but hey, it's a giant wheel over THE OCEAN!

And yeah, I couldn't stop smiling like an idiot...

Never went up into the Space Needle, but I saw it. Good enough for me

And viola! The first thing I had to see on the Star Princess ship! Can you imagine a theatre this huge in the middle of the ocean??

This was our Seattle Sailaway-- absolutely gorgeous weather! Truly an amazing day!

I was so shaky with excitement and awe. I'm a country girl taking a huge adventure in the city and on a cruise ship. This was HUGE for me.

Fruit/Veggie carvings!! Absolutely mind-blowing.

1st Formal night on board the Star Princess. So much fun!

Juneau, Alaska (rain forest & green house)
These are upside down trees... Like, literally. They're upside down. With flowers growing on the top (bottom) of the trees. SO COOL!

Oh Juneau, I miss you!

Just outside of the green house.

Glaciers!!!!!

Enormous waterfall!

This is the end of part 1! I have so many more photos to post and I will hopefully get them posted before I go back to work on Tuesday. Started my new training in the deli department... I'm really enjoying this change from the front floor. Thanks for checking things out!
