We spent July 4th in my Dad's office. Sounds super boring doesn't it? Well, it wasn't. We cleaned the place from top to bottom--no exaggeration there. The place definitely needed it and we were all willing to make it sparkle and shine.
A new boss will be starting next week and I--as well as the whole family--am praying the new boss will keep Dad on. I know there are many girls out there who have said this, but MY DAD'S THE BEST GUY YOU'LL EVER HIRE FOR THE JOB!
During our little "breathers", Kyle and I explored old rail road tracks right next to Dad's office.
I scrubbed windows & walls & and desk tops, vaccuumed over and over, organized, took down shelves, put up shelves, slapped my hands on my sweat pants & stood back to admire our work. I love working hard.
Happy the work was done--smiling because it had been a GREAT and PRODUCTIVE day!
Dad's "new and improved" office! We painted two walls "amerigas blue" and organized EVERYTHING.
Topped it off with his certificates and a family photo....which is, like, 5 years old... *sheepish smile*
Dad took us to Wendy's and we got a burger each and these small frosties, compliments from our dentist. Either my hand is HUMUNGUS, or this frostie has gotten smaller over the past year.....
And these beauties are finally blooming! Yep, I'm gonna be smiling like a fool all day long today....
...especially since I drank this cup of iced coffee... *nervous chuckle* Couldn't resist... Even though I should have.
Anyways, this day is going to be gorgeous and I hope to go running in a little bit.
We shot off "the big" fireworks the other night and I got tons of video, but I don't want to bore any of you.
Hope you all had a lovely holiday!
