A Walk in the Woods

the snow was melting and huge gusts of wind blew the ramaing dead leaves off of the trees, here's the imprint of a leaf (which was gone when i got this shot) in the ice. notice the neat colours of the rocks?

and the squirrels picked apart dozens of pine cones, leaving several piles of pine cone pedals on fallen, old tree trunks. so cute!

then i came in, warmed up by the fire, and watched my two dogs (Chex isn't in this post, just Rilla this time) watch our two parakeets. look at the determined look in her eye, haha!

Just when we thought Spring was making an early appearance, BAM! We got hit with 4 more inches of snow. Well, everything is melting and very wet... again. Then again, it's only March.

A Closer Look

It was one of those days I just took my time taking photographs. I took my time trecking through the (knee-deep!) snow behind the house, deep within the forest, looking for the special little details created by my God and Saviour. These tiny little details keep me in awe of His majestic beauty. Enjoy.

plant life indoors gives the whole house a wonderful aroma. and seeing my siblings so excited over the tiny little seeds popping up out of the soil puts a smile on my face.

i had to hold this one up (as you see my fingers in the upper left corner) to get a better shot of the bottom of the pine needles. again, i am in awe over the tiniest details in life!

And ending this post with a shot of the glorious details of tree bark. One word: Beautiful.
