Hello, Winter

Small family celebration for my 19th b-day. Feeling so loved :)

I love the snow.... now! Haha Waking up at 4 in the morning to get to work by 5 -- in the snow! -- made me a very unhappy camper haha. But having a few days off, I've pushed those thoughts aside and am now back to loving winter all over again. Crisp mornings, thick, foggy afternoons, and gorgeous nights have me captured. And, believe it or not, the sun decided to shine today! Whoo hoo! Major snowball fights have been going underway recently... I may be 19, but hey, gotta have some down-right good fun every once in a while, right? ;)

So I'm enjoying my one day off before I head back for another 3 of work.... should probably get off my rear and do something! Take care friends :)

Can you tell I grew up watching Little House on the Prairie episodes?

 So the rain came and took away all of our snow. You won't find me complaining, though. It's nice having a little bit of warmer weather. 55 degrees is SO much nicer than 34.
I'm really enjoying this new camera-- It's so much fun learning how to work it.

My 18th birthday is this Saturday! My sissy is making me one of the BEST home made birthday cakes on the planet (haha). We're celebrating with the cake and blowing of candles tomorrow, since it's my day off. I work on my birthday, but hey, at least I work the early shift, so, no biggy. After my sis gets off work, we're heading to the Mexican grill and filling our tummies with tacos and tortilla chips dipped in salsa! This family loves Mexican food.... Really loves Mexican food....

Emma, antiques, and floral



yes, hard to believe, i'm attempting to read Jane Austen's Emma. watched the BBC series and loved it! i couldn't get through Pride and Prejudice, but, surprisingly, this novel is much easier to follow along. i'm enjoying it so far.



 My mom found this table cloth set at our favourite antiques shop, Station 8, and I wish I could have gotten better pictures of it. I need a better camera, haha.

Just Random

last night's supper: my youngest sister made the chicken nuggets, i mashed the potatoes, and mom boiled the green beans. this is our favourite meal.

I found this caterpillar on one of our apple trees while I was looking at a wasp nest. Call me crazy if you want, but I'm still fascinated by the way bees/wasps make their nests....even if I am highly allergic to them, haha.

I haven't been able to take many photos as the weather has been pretty hot. The one day we got rain I just had to take a break and enjoy it. This morning was perfect, though: 65 degrees with the wind blowing...mhm, my ideal summer temperature.

So things are getting busy around our house--mostly full of excitement. Our "Nanny" from PEI, Canada is coming to visit in August!!! We haven't seen her in almost 5 years, so this is going to be a special month with her. I'm looking forward to taking her to Glacier and just sitting down and talking/catching up. I wish the whole family back there could come. Maybe this coming year we'll be able to take a trip up there..... After all, my great-grandmother just turned 94--I wanna see her soon!
